Fabrics for bags
And a selection of different ways of creating a piece of fabric for a bag. (Or book cover come to that!) Large fragments or small, regular or random, free machine stitching or simply straight stitch and zigzag. Hand stitching would probably be rather hard work and take a long time so for a workshop machine stitching is better.
Make a fabric, make a bag . .
I do a workshop/dayschool making bags and this post is really to show what sort of bags! It involves creating a fabric first, basically with a background fabric, lots of bits of varying kinds, an overlay and plenty of stitching. You decide forst what kind of bag you want to make and create a piece the appropriate size and shape for it.
