Wild weather inspirations

I wanted to put these first two pix at the end but blogger is being contrary about arranging photos, sorry about that. Sunset, seen from the back of our house. Sun heading down, Poole harbour, Brownsea island across the water.
Another winter day at Sandbanks, with wild waves and kite surfers, and sun. Great for November.
And at Upton Country park, some autumn colour, quite spectacular.
More wild waves, at Bournemouth beach this time, on the windiest day of the year. We went with family to the Oceanarium down by the beach, and the grandchildren were leaning on the wind. But then the peaceful moments come, to our road anyway!

A straight day out . . .

. . . with no exhibitions or fabric shops in sight. On the last day of half term we had a family outing to the Blue Pool, near Wareham in Dorset. The colour comes from the type of clay forming its bed. There's a walk through pleasant woodland around the pool, and coffee and gift shops but it is all very natural and not at all touristy. DH and daughter stride off along the leafy path and I am looking for nice views and the obligatory colour and texture shots!

Autumn is here at last with spider webs and colour!
Bit of drama.

Nostalgic journey . . .

. . . to the local woods . . .

. . . where the cricket club lurks and the scout and guide camps are held. This clearing has over the years seen my husband doing clever things with sticks, string, matches etc with 'health and safety' an alien concept, and in their turn some of our daughters boiling potatoes on a wood fire and finding their way around the woods gaining various badges. I was never a guide myself, but DH got a huge amount from scouting and the girls some unusual experiences as brownies and guides. We went primarily to look for some autumn colour, but there's hardly any here yet. The best I could do are these pix, some bracken, a fallen oak twig and part of a beech tree:
